"Girls Love Mail" is a charity that collects hand-written letters and gives them to women going through breast cancer treatment. As of early August this year, the group had collected and distributed more than 11,000 letters to cancer centers and doctor's offices nationwide!
So today, almost a year to the day that I lost my mom, I decided to honor her memory by doing my small part to bring a smile to others and hosting my own Girls Love Mail event. A couple close friends came over to be creative, crafty and caring... and we had a blast!
Hosting an event is so easy-- gather a friend or two (or ten or twenty!) and whatever crafting supplies you have, and then be creative! When you've created some masterpieces of motivation, you simply mail them to Girls Love Mail, where they are distributed to cancer patients. Talk about free karma! I look forward to hosting more Girls Love Mail events in the future.
