Back in my short stint in the Office of Public Affairs at the U.S. Treasury Department, I met a kind woman named Courtney. Very quickly, Courtney became a mentor, helping to show me the ropes and answer my (many) questions! Now, Courtney resides in Austin, Texas-- and she's gearing up to participate in the American Heart Association's Heart Walk on October 18th. It's a great cause-- raising money to fight against heart disease and stroke. |
The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association's premiere event for raising funds to save lives from this country's No. 1 and No. 4 killers - heart disease and stroke. Designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living, the Heart Walk creates an environment that's fun and rewarding for the entire family."
Now COME ON, DISH! Is the American Heart Association an organization close to your heart? Do you participate in similar fundraisers? If you or someone you know are looking for support for a worthy cause, let me know!
